Yoga in the Airport

I had a the most bizarre airport experience today…
Picture
I was catching a flight from Los Angeles to Boston. The flight was scheduled to leave at 6:30am, so I was up before the sun and got to the airport around 5:30am. I'm in one of the last groups to board, and I hear them announce that no more rolley bags will fit in the overhead space.

NOOOO!!

I brought a small rolley luggage since I didn't want anything checked in -- I was carrying some expensive and fragile items. I was upset by that, but nothing I could do about it. I crossed my fingers but was preparing myself for everything in the bag to be shattered and destroyed when I got to Boston...  So right off the bat I'm annoyed.

25 Days Exploring Japan! (Part 1)

This was a big one.

(So big in fact it had to be split up into three parts!)

I have a long personal history with Japan, starting with participating in a 2-week foreign exchange program when I was in Jr. High school to Asahikawa, Japan, located in Hokkaido (the big, northernmost island). But even before then I was already dabbling in learning the language, and have been studying off and on to this day!

So finally, after 14 years, it was time to go back! This time as a fully functioning adult!

Since this would be my first time exploring Honshu, the main island of Japan, I wanted to hit lots of the stereotypical 'touristy' things. Even though I know many of those might not be the coolest or most unique things to do... I feel like you just have to see some of them while you're there. I mean, there must be a reason those things are so popular, right?

I spent over 6 months planning this trip. I'll tell you all about the things that went well, the things that didn't go so well, and some things I learned about traveling in Japan.

So let's jump right in!

Breakdown . . .

Here's the itinerary I created for myself :

I've always wanted to start a journal / blog, and so I'm finally doing it!

As I learn more and more about yoga and life there's just so many things I want to journal about. Maybe someone, somewhere, might get some inspiration or enjoyment out of this.

What's something you've always wanted to do but haven't? Maybe people made a face and said "why would you want to do that?"

Only you can know what will truly make you happy in life, so I say go for it!
